Maldonado (Northeastern- Draft Eligible) Proven Hitter Heading into 2025 Season

The accolades and numbers speak for themself. Most recently Maldonado was a 2024 Cape Cod Collegiate League All-Star. The league is widely known to host the BEST and MOST talented players amongst all summer collegiate leagues throughout the United States with an abundance of MLB draft picks each summer and a tremendous amount of present and past MLB players. Maldonado is the most proven NCAA Division 1 offensive player in Massachusetts. He is a confident player by virtue of success… holds program record for HR as FR (13) and led CAA in steals in ‘24 (29). Video of Maldonado vs RHP Joey Ryan of Boston College (Ryan threw 10ip later on after collegiate season in Cape Cod League/4H 0ER 11K 2BB). Maldonado 13/16 for SB in Cape Cod League in ‘24. Below we have listed accolades he has garnered throughout his past two seasons as a Northeastern Huskie. Separately, what jumps out to us is his ability to hit high level pitching such as Boston College's Joey Ryan who played in the Cape Cod Collegiate League coming out of the pen for 10IP allowing 0ER 0R 11K 4H & 2BB. Maldonado led the CAA in SB for 2024 with 29 while also being 13/16 in SB attempts in the CCBL (Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League). Finally, Maldonado fits the part at 6ft3 200lbs. 2024 BDC Fall Showcase League a HUGE SUCCESS!!

The 2024 BDC Fall Showcase League was a tremendous success that boasted numerous Division 1 and college commits along with players selected to play for MLB Scout Teams such as the White Sox (Ryan Marino) and Brewers (Cam Soroko). A multitude of players have committed to play college ball shortly after the conclusion of the league.

Squad ☝️Scout Team x BDC Data Day HUGE success!

7/30/24BDC covered the Squad ☝️Scout Team this July and were treated to some outstanding ball players. 25’ May (6.53 laser 60yd) and 25’ Lush stood out (6.37 laser 60yd)… 25’ Henriquez showed very fluid actions in the infield w/90mph event best infield velocity along with belting one to LF during BP. Another standout, 25’ Cameron Soroko with event best 94mph from OF while blasting one deep over trees to LF… 25’ Berube (6.88 laser 60yd) & 26’ Cali (6.91 laser 60yd) also stood out as Berube recorded 90mph off Tee & 86mph from IF while Tucker Cali had an event best 97mph off tee.. from the pitching side of things 25’ RHP Sam Perry stood out like a sore thumb mixing breaking pitches w/excellent CH flashing one pitch @91mph. XXL wiry projectable frame 25’ John McDonald kept hitters off balance in the 82-85mph range w/CB & CH. 25’ RHP Giovanni Martello was up to 88mph sitting in the 85-88mph range while flashing a nice SL and CH. Saugus MA Native Catcher Nate Soroko selected for Scout Team & Back to Back All-State Events

07/20/24Saugus Massachusetts native Catcher (2026 Saugus HS MA) Nathan Soroko has been selected to play for one of the most prestigious scout teams in the Northeast, Squad One Scout Team. The team has seen multiple 90mph+ arms including Princeton Commit Liam Kinnenn and UMASS Commit Christian Oliveria along with Nationally ranked players from NY, ME, NH and PA in 2023 (8/16 were Division 1 commits with other non committed players receiving Division 1 offers). Soroko was selected as a catcher to the 2023 Baseball Data Combine All-State Event and this year is no different with his selection in 2024 as well. Soroko has excellent arm strength behind the dish and can also swing it, what makes him unique is his ability to move quickly as that is a rarity among catchers and is proven to be vital in high level collegiate or professional ranks. Soroko going into his Junior year will be a starting catcher on the Squad One Scout Team this July.

2024 BDC 3rd Annual All-State Event set for August 15th

The Baseball Data Combine is holding it's 3rd Annual All-State Event this August (15th) featuring some of the most premier and projectable talent out of the Northeast Area. Two years running the All-State Event has garnered talent that has shown up on the MLB Draft Board and also Power 5 and Division 1 commits. Since the very first All-State event players have worn either Nike or New Era gear while this year is set to be a surprise but more importantly a surprise on the talent side of things as well!

Former NCAA Divison 1 Head Coach Joins BDC Advisory Board

4/18/24The Baseball Data Combine is proud to announce former Division 1 College Coach Tony Rossi to its advisory board. Tony Rossi was a fixture in Division 1 College baseball becoming the longest tenured Division 1 coach in history. The former Head Coach for Siena College is no stranger to growth bringing the program from Division 2 to Division 1 over his time. Under Coach Rossi's guidance the program had seen numerous conference tournament runs, 1st place conference finishes along with NCAA Regionals. All while having a multitude of draft picks along with several players reaching the MLB with more than respectable performances at that level recently in 2023. 

2024 BDC Northeast Pre Season All-State Event is HUGE success

3/4/2024 The 2024 BDC Northeast Pre Season Pitchers All-State Event was a HUGE success. A multitude of talented HS arms were on display with 2024 Eliezer Rosario (Springfield Central HS MA), 2025 Giovanni Martello (North Attleboro HS MA) and 2024 Javier Lopez Jr. (Springfield Central HS MA) showing off some promising talent! XXL framed Rosario showed off a two seam that reach 92mph on multiple occasions throughout the night while sitting 88-90mph... he displayed a nice five pitch mix (SL, CH, CB, 4-Seam & 2- Seam)... curveball and slider were both sharp w/late break.. Giovanni Martello sat in the 87-89mph range touching 90mph multiple times along with a CH 81-84mph & SL 75-78mph this time out, see Martello as a future closer... Javier Lopez Jr. was up to 88mph right out of the gate along with a CB at 69mph, 81mph CH and 78mph CT.. All three of these pitchers were ID'd from previous Baseball Data Combine events...

Vanderbilt commit shines at 2nd Annual BDC All-State Event

10/29/2324’ HS grad IF Julio Solier (Springfield Central HS MA) shines at the 2nd Annual 2023 BDC All-State Event! Last year around this time Solier pulled up to the 1st ever BDC All-State Event uncommited and looking to make a name for himself. After being seen by the BDC National Scouting Director (Rob Nadel) Solier was connected with schools like University of Miami, Hawaii & ultimately Vanderbilt University where he committed. Scouting Director Nadel was quoted saying “this is an incredibly rare player that comes around once in a while”. Nadel, heavily researching Solier found he had success dating all the way back to the Little League World Series making a web gem play that was shown on littleleague.org… Nadel found countless meaningful stats on Solier which seemed to be lost files at the time considering there did not seem to be buzz about the young man Nadel felt there should be. What stood out to Nadel is Solier’s natural ability at shortstop in which he compared the young man’s playing abilities and ceiling to that of a well know MLB player, Wander Franco. Nadel was also quoted saying “Solier just can flat out hit, everywhere he goes no matter the competition he figures out how to get on base and put the ball in play away from the fielders. He’s got plus arm strength, plus speed and some serious twitch/ability throw off balance comfortably. It’s very clear he’s a natural competitor and has a very unique focus when on the diamond.” In conclusion the BDC is very happy this young man has been able to take advantage of the various opportunities that have come his way. There is a very bright future ahead for Solier!

Vanderbilt lands BDC POY 24’ Julio Solier

Vanderbilt lands the 2023 Baseball Data Combine player of the year Julio Solier.. Solier has been to over 5 individual Baseball Data Combine events in 2022 & 2023… showing plus speed, plus arm & incredible hit tool it will be no surprise if we see Solier starring at Vanderbilt University in the near future or hear his name called in the 2024 MLB Draft! Solier has starred for NxT LvL Beast out of Springfield Massachusetts for Coach Pedro Santiago (also coaches currently at Elms College & NECBL Head Coach for Valley Blue Sox).

4/22/2023Player submits Baseball Data Combine Videos for the MLB "Draft Prospect Link" which is a centralized platform for prospects to streamline information to MLB clubs. The BDC would like to see as many players as possible reach their goal of playing at the next level. You might not know when film is necessary, but you can almost be sure that film will be necessary at some point in your playing career, whether it is high school, college or professionally to share with coaches or to track development!

Springfield Central The Real Deal

4/8/2023 Springfield Central HS baseball is the real deal. Led by players like 24' Julio Solier, 23' Eliel Colon, 24' Eliezer Rosario, 23' Greg Sherokow, 25' Franklyn Torres and 23' Rich Escobar. Central has played two games but has already made noise with no-hitter by Eliezer Rosario... striking out 11 with one walk... Eliel Colon went 3 for 4 at the plate in the first game while adding three SB, 1R, BB and an RBI. Solier went 2 for 4 with 2RBI and 2R. Torres who has been the backstop went 2 for 3 with 1R, RBI, BB and SB (4/3/2023). Sherokow (AIC Commit) went 1 for 3 at the plate (4/3/2023). Big help from Jacob Lunardini who was 1 for 3 with a double, RBI and R (4/3/2023). Michael Quiros was a major help going 2 for 4 with a double, 2R. BB and SB (4/3/2023). Look for Springfield Central to make major noise this spring with their depth from top to bottom. Adding Javier Lopez Jr. to the pitching staff should prove to be a major addition as well.

Soroko Shining (Saugus HS 25')

4/8/2023 25' HS Grad Cameron Soroko is shining for Saugus high school in Massachusetts as a two-way player whether it be on the mound, at the plate, or practically anywhere in the field. Starting off the season Soroko is 5/7 with 4 doubles and 1-0 on the mound with 11ks... Soroko is a three sport Varsity athlete as an underclassmen playing basketball, soccer and baseball. His basketball team made a playoff run this past winter while he looks to help carry that same energy to the baseball team this spring. We have seen Soroko been up to 91mph in the outfield while also being up to 93 off the bat (wood) and running a 6.70 laser 60yd dash... Soroko will be a key addition to any high level collegiate program given his outstanding work ethic coupled with being an excellent student, having a GPA north of 3.5 as of April 2023... Soroko will play for the Ohio Warhawks briefly this summer and Squad One Scout Team while he has been a product of Vikings baseball as that is his travel team.

Northeastern Making National Noise

4/7/2023 Northeastern (Boston,MA) is making National noise in the baseball community as they are 23-5 heading into todays game against University of Delaware. Veteran Head Coach Mike Glavine has made it clear he can use various pieces of his puzzle to forge a successful season. From freshman to transfers to program guys like Danny Crossen who’s hitting at a .369 clip w/5hrs, 3B & 7-2B while collecting 41 hits… MacGregor is leading the charge w/.409 BA & 9hrs… Crossen & MacGregor are not alone with six other Huskies hitting .300 or better as of today… Freshman Maldonado & Musacchia have proven to make an immediate impact as freshman while transfers Alex Lane & Harrison Feinberg have done the same. Veteran, Wyatt Scotti leads the charge on the mound with a 3.05 ERA while Freshman Aiven Cabral has proven to be force as a Starting pitcher with a 2.23 ERA to date. The Huskies have a number of arms contributing in the pen as well.
